"I'll Be Back"

Sega seems to be saying the they will be launching the Dreamcast console game system with DVD player in Q3 this year, but details were vague. If DVD works effectively with gaming software, the company could have a strong product against Sony and Nintendo.
I saw a brief preview of an impressive new software title called "ShenMue" by Yu Suzuki. It is an Asian-urban adventure and was well done and entertaining. With its Japanese audio and excellent visuals, it should garner many fans. Quake is still shaking by keeping and attracting new fans in both the PC and on-line crowd -- it just seems to have excellent staying power. I'm told that it will migrate, with enhancements, to the Dreamcast platform.
The Metropolis Street Racer title for Dreamcast is having a long development process -- almost two years. Based on road courses in the U.S., Europe and Japan, it promises to bring great game play and realistic visuals.
